THE JUNIOR CHEF PROGRAM IS FREE TO ALL ACCEPTED APPLICANTS
The Junior Chef Program is a culinary arts and nutritional education program for
children ages 6-14. Students visit The Kitchen for five weeks at a time to learn
the ins and outs of the hospitality industry, from prep to plate.
The classes will be held at The Nourishing Kitchen on Thursday’s from July 9th to
August 12th.
These hands-on classes gave children the opportunity to gain skills in the kitchen
by learning to make healthy, easy to prepare meals. In addition to the direct training,
the students receive materials to prepare the meals at home with their families.
Students will learn how to protect themselves and their families from the threat
of diabetes and obesity raging in many neighborhoods, while acquiring a comprehensive
introduction to the hospitality industry.
